Those will work fine.
Tony's Trains has cable and connectors for less that listed at Alleletronics.com, if the prices are still valid. As someone else pointed out look under RR CIRKITS at Tony's Train site.
All Electronics dot com. Search for part numbers CCBL-10 for the ribbon cable, and RCSC-10 for the connectors. By the description given on the parts, it sounds like these are the same cables and connectors and should be compatable with the SE8C. I just ordered 150 ft of cable and 40 connectors, so I hope they work.
This is the cheapest that I have found them. The connectors are called IDC types and both items are available from a number of suppliers, although they cost more.
Elmer.
The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.
(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.
Does anyone have the part numbers for the best deal in connectors to use on 10 conductor ribbon cable? How about cheapest source for 100' of cable.
