Lampson Yard Renovation Pics (updated 3/4)
Posted by nbrodar on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 7:37 PM

I've been doing a good deal of work to my yard area.  Adding an Engine Terminal and Cabin Tracks, as well as, finishing off the backdrop.  Here's a few pics showing how everything relates.

Adding the backdrop is a big improvement!

Looking good Nick.  question though...how wide is you yard???  And I'm guessing your using HO scale.

It is HO.  At it's widest, the yard is a tad under 30 inches.   If you're short, reaching the back tracks is a bit of a stretch, but being tall, I have no problems.

Love the overpass in the back. My only suggestion is to put some black foam board or poster board under the overpass to give it an illusion of depth. I did that with some of my buildings and it worked well.

I was actually thinking of using a mirror there.

I completed the fascia and skirting for Lampson Yard today.  The fascia needs one more coat of green, but otherwise, I think it looks great.

Looks great Nick! I wish I had the space for something like that! I might do something like that, but make it detachable for my N scale layout.
