Got my Army ready to move out!

I have been building a layout and while that was underway I also had to buy, rebuild or build up all the details I'd need for my layout I like to call..."Marshal Law Town"....he he he !!!

Check out some pics before installation.

More pics will be posted as things come together.

Wow, that is quite a collection military gear!  What will be the setting? A large supply depot loading and unloading the gear for transport?

-Doug

P.S.- "martial law" is military control.  "marshal law" would be a sheriff or marshal in control.  Either is a nice play on words.

The idea behind the layout is a Town under Military control, something like a US Army version of "Red Dawn" instead of the Ruskies taking over the town the US Army has taken over the town as its new base because most other bases were distroyed by the "Zombie Hippies" in the great war of 2012.

there will be scenes depicting sabotage, secret meetings, spies meeting, and random attacks by the "Zombie Hippies" that now plague the USA.

Of course the Military stay one step ahead of these vermin, as can be seen in a scene that will have many "Zombie Hippies" locked in cages and being shipped out by rail.

Sure I have a sick mind....but hey, in the world of HO I can do whatever I want...LOL!

Dang Jesse, you got a bunch of stuff! Now ya gotta get some track laid down, and run som trains! Smile [:)]

Is that steam engine the "Chattanooga"? Looks pretty good from the pics.

Hmmm...I was just thinking, (always dangerous!) Maybe Jesse and the guy doing the nuclear aftermath built in modules, they could hook up at a train show somewhere. Maybe to push this a little further, it's the aftermath of alien invasion, with Jesse's cavalry ready to restore order to the OP's decimated module. You could have one of those neat HO scale flying saucers shot down, with the military securing the area, and loading saucer bits on a train.

I wonder how you make an HO scale laser disintegrator ray?

I want one of those saucers!

Jake: How often does the train go by? Elwood: So often you won't even notice ...

I'm starting my day with a laugh and a smile, thanks guys....lol!

It is funny but my partner at the ambulance company has been hounding me to do a UFO scene on my layout, he wanted me to have the Native people greeting Aliens from who knows where, I told him, I'd think about it....LOL!, seems like there is another vote for an invasion of the 4th kind...LOL!

I will hopefully be laying the track down soon, I just have a little more to learn about what turn outs and at what degrees I'll need for my design, it is pretty simple, a giant oval with a figure "8" inside of it so that there is a cross over in the center, I bought a cross for the middle but the angle was too extream.

Yes I'm a puppy at this but hope to get good at it soon.

I just love using my free time to create a layout that I will find fun and funny, I will be building a few tnoug in cheek scenes, I already have two spies meeting to exchange papers for money on the Tank flat bed car of my train.

My wife is enjoying my new hobby because she sees that after working as an EMT on a heavey trauma unit that this is a great way to unwind.

Oh. and I must incert a disclaimer at this time: "No Hippy Zombies were hurt in the making of this layout", well in all fairness a few were slightly crumpled, and a few were folded but with no long term damage!!!

Happy Rails my friends!
