Doug,

You idea gave me the info I needed Thanks.  The bad news is I think I am going to have to shelf the idea to add it to my layout, at this point it takes up to much room.

Thanks Doug

I will try the trick with the poster board over the weekend.  I had been thinking along that lines but hadn't come up with a complete plan

I do not know from personal experience. I did a quick search and found the answer here: Linky

If that does not seem right, you could trace the roundhouse base onto a $1 sheet of posterboard, locate the centerline of each stall, and draw straight down the centerlines until they intersect.   The intersection is the pivot of the turntable.

I have installed other roundhouses a little closer or farther than exactly, perfectly suggested.

the Con Cor round house and turntable question
Posted by quietman41 on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 5:52 PM

Here is a quick question ( I could have sworn that I posted this earlier).  I have the old Helgin (con cor) now walthers round house and turntable.  I was wondering how close anybody has been able to place them on their layout.  The distance listed in the instructions is not working on the current layout I am building.

Thanks

John
