You want extruded not expanded foam, which is usually pink of blue, but can also be any other color. The pink is Owens Cornings, the blue is DOW.

First paint the foam with latex paint, about the color of dirt in the area you are modeling. You should be able to find this very inexpensively in the mis-mixed section of any Home Depot/Lowes/Menards or anyother place the sells paint. The exact color is not critical, nor is uniformity -just like Mother Nature is not uniform.

I suggest Aleene's Tacky Glue, which can be found in the crafts section of Wal-Mart and other stores. It appears to be the same as Woodland Scenic's tacky glue at a considerably lower price. It dries colorless and stays flexible, unlike white or yellow glue.

Others have used white or yellow glue, Liquid Nails for Projects (double check that it is foam compatible), hot melt.........

Thank you very much,

I think i have extruded polysterene foam. I was trying to get blue but Home Depot only had it in pink.
