DPM also makes an O scale modular system you can use just to build back ground buildings.

Went to walthers.com, did a search for O scale, structure and added search word "background".

 Found this one: http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-2717

Don't know if that was what you were looking for ?

 Smile,

Can't remember the entire article details--perhaps you would know.    Awhile back, I read an article and saw pictures of a layout that featured the facades of multi-story buildings that were only 2" to 3" deep.  They were used mainly along the back and sides of the layout.  The author stressed the fact there were no kit-bashed items, all store bought......Does anyone know who makes/sells products like this?    "O" guage   As always, many thanks.
