As the others have said it depends on what you are trying to do.
How many trains are you planning on running?  Only one train - just put a terminal connection anywhere it will fit that is close to the power supply.   DCC and multiple trains - just put a terminal connection anywhere it will fit that is clost to the DCC unit as possible.   DC and Multiple trains - get out the electrical selection switches, and get ready to use insluated rail joiners or cut gaps in the track to make blocks.  Looks like about six blocks to me.

If your doing DC, you'll need one on every block. On DCC, every 3-6' and every siding. Your looking at around 10 sets on that plan.

A lot depends on how solid your work is, if you solder your joiners, whether you are using DCC, etc. I like to go every 3-6 feet, so if you were to draw a line horizontally through the center, I would connect a feeder to the four places the loops crossed that line. If you lose power anywhere on the layout after that, you would add more as needed.

Terminal connections, I need some advice:)
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 11:46 AM

Hello, All
I need some advice on terminal connections, as to where I should put the terminal connections. I have an idea as to where, but the more experienced here will know better than me.

Thanks, Ron
