Hello,
I'm bought a micro wireless camera for my Dummy Conrail Locomotive at the Great American Train show on Octobe 22, 2006. I spent a bunch of money on getting that loco painted current CSX/Conrail paint scheme. Now the camera won't fit in the loco. What do I do?
Return the camera.

Are you trying to put the whole thing in the one unit. Most that I have seen have the power source in a trailing box car. Thought the camera was small enough to fit in a powered unit with the camera power following.
Good luck,
This is my video camera installation in a Proto subway car. The car is unpowered, but it does have a light board.
The camera itself is the black thing on the left side. I've also got the power supply that runs off of DCC power. The circuit board is inside the gray housing in the center. The big blue capacitor was moved off-board to get all the parts in. Here's what it looks like from the front end with the shell in place. The camera lens is the little red spot in the porthole in the door.
You can get a better look at the pictures by clicking on them.
The camera lens is right in the center of the camera, so it's tough to get it up high enough to be a cab-view camera in most engines. Instead, you might thing about positioning it so it looks out the headlight opening on an engine like an F7.
Most of these come with a 9-volt battery clip. That's fine if you're going to put this on a flat car or in a gondola bed, but if it's inside a shell it's going to be tough to replace the batteries.
