GP-40 Dead
Posted by VickyB on Monday, January 7, 2008 8:27 AM

So last night I am building my Roster of locomotives and I come to this GT GP40-2. Its dead. Wont respond to the track, wont respond to programming. Nothing. Just dead. it was running perfectly fine the last time I tried it.

This locomotive came DCC installed from the factory. What is interesting is that its the second GT GP40-2 locomotive that has died on me. None of the others. Almost seems like the railroad name is spooked with me.

Any suggestions on resetting/kicking this thing back to life?

Thanks

I have had the same thing happen on my Atlas N-scale GP40-2. Turned out to be the board had slide just a hair but enough to not connect any longer. I messed with all kinds of stuff before trying that Smile [:)]

 Good luck!
