Use them just like oils except:

They dry much faster, for scenery you need to do smaller sections.

They clean up with water

They don't smell.

You can paint right on foam

I prefer tubes most of the time, but for large areas(walls and mountains) I use house paint or the little bottles. For buildings I use anything I have that makes the right color.
