Tomar Industries, N.J. International, or Oregon Rail Supply signals are practically the same.  All are made of brass and are very good products.

For the controller, I use the Grade Crossing Pro circuit board from Logic Rail Technologies with across-track IR emitters and detectors.  The Grade Crossing Pro will also control a bell and crossing gates, in addition to the flashing lights.

I have never used the Circuitron controller and cannot comment on its capabilities other than to say that Circuitron has a good reputation and their products all seem to be reliable..

Circuitron Grade Crossing

Looking to install flashing grade crossing lights, and it appears my best bet is to use the Circuitron DT-2 detector and FL-2 flasher for this purpose.  Circuitron does not make actual signals, anyone have any suggestions for what company's signals are the best?  Walthers lists them for NJ International and Oregon Rail Supply.  They both look good, any thoughts?  Also, and hints/tips for installing the Circuitron parts?
