Got a question on wiring tortoise machines

Correct.  Anything larger, aka #18, will not work with the holes on the machine.  there are times that I have needed to use 18 and the hole can be carefully enlarged with a numbered drill bit (I forget which one).  I usually have used #22 or smaller.

At what gauge wire does the wire become too big to attach to the Tortoise? I used 20 ga. for my feeders....should I assume I'll have no trouble using that for my Tortoise machines?

That should be fine.  They draw very little current.

Getting ready to install about 30 machines. the instructions say to use a light gage wire. Will 22 Ga. do the trick or should it be something different?
