Walthers N scale turntable ?

Looking at the replies in this forum about the HO scale version, has anyone had trouble with the N scale kit? I have the motor kit as well and have built the TT up to a certain point. The bridge doesn't seem to travel smoothly but I'd hoped to rectify that when I mounted the motor drive ( by adjusting the shaft so it rides the pit with minimal binding.)
