Walthers Concrete Coaling Tower - Opinions Please
Posted by bagman on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 5:34 AM

Hi there

I have a design in mind for a small engine terminal on my layout.

There will be a 90' turntable serviced by one inbound/outbound track. Along side the inbound/outbound track will be a track to service the coaling tower http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/933-3042.

It looks like the Walthers Coaling Tower services 2 tracks. One directly under the tower and one alongside, opposite the covered pit.

I only have room for the one service, hence the attraction of the Walthers Tower straddling the inbound/outbound track.

Now to my dilemma.

Do you think it would look odd if I left off the "outside" delivery chute ?? In other words just have the Tower straddling the inbound/outbound track and the unloading pit alongside ??

Your thoughts, comments and opinions would be greatfully received.

Many thanks.
