Layout cover ?
Posted by traindaddy1 on Friday, August 31, 2007 2:38 PM

I am in the process of re-building (yes, again.....but this time it's going to be the greatest yet) my "O" layout. Over the years, I have just painted the Homasote, covered the board with paper-backed grass, used an indoor-outdoor grass carpet and even spread the grain stuff over glue (messy).  The plans are for a small 8' x 8' layout.  This time, "$" and easy maintenance will be a priority.  There are no current plans for fancy mountains etc.  More or less, simple flat.

From your experience, what have you found to be the most economical and care-free covering to use?  As always, thanks.
