It was recommended to use flux core solder. I agree with that for everything but track. Using paste flux on track will make the solder flow better and give you a better joint in less time and with less heat. <br />One of the most important things in soldering is to "Keep the tip clean". Keep some fine sand paper to rub the tip on occasionally and a damp sponge to wipe the tip on everytime you use it. Cleaner means better joints, quicker.
