After 6 years of planning saving, getting basement ready I have made some great progress this winter on the benchwork. Still need to build walls to separate halves of the peninsula but getting there!
Looking good! Looks like a big layout.

That is going to be nice and big. I like how you trimmed the front sides with wood.
How wide are those sections? Looks like a long reach?
Nice looking layout so far. I hope you are enjoying yourself.
If there is access to both sides of the penninsula than reach may not necessarily be an issue.
Bear "It's all about having fun."
There is accress from each side from the peninsula so reach on one section is a bit long but the vast majority is 30" or less.
30 inches is stretching it depending on the height of the layout (and your height), but it is probably doable.
Here are some more progress phot0s
Is that vertical fraime going to be a divider?
Uh oh. A sea of evil OSB waferboard.
I use it too and it's been ok.

That's a pretty cool way to handle the end of the divider wall.
Is your back drop going to be painted, or a photo-type glued to the drywall? The reason I ask, I've filled many of them, in all different sizes, with concrete, and some have a waxy type finish on the outside to protect them from the weather.
