Hi Wayne, <br /> <br />the toggle switch should be a DPDT (preferably Center off). It is basically in there so that when you are through programming the engine, you can throw the switch in the opposite direction so that the power to the track is the same as the rest of the layout. <br />That being said, it is possible that you have the wires crossed so that it doesn't match the rest of the layout. Test it by physically moving the engine to the normal operating track and see it it runs. If it does, check your wiring to the toggle switch. <br />
