Another Newbie question, tips for consistant spacing on Double Mains

I'm laying double mains in "N" using Kato Unitrack. Arethere any tips or tricks to laying consistant parallel Track 1.25 or 1.5" apart. Thanks, Dave

The best thing I found is using hardboard or masonite (whatever you are using for your backdrop) and make your own jig spacer. Just cut small slots for the rail to set in. I made about 5 of them and work on longer stretches.
My method, I am HO and use flextrack.
I also use a 4' level and a jig to lay the track straight.

I imagine that it will work with the Kato system.

Kato's design is for 33 millimeter track centers. the double track road crossing and the double crossovers are at this distance and will hold the tracks at those points. I have not fastened mine down anywhere else and let them float which has not been much of a problem.

I found the answer. I have a Kato Re-Railer P/n 24-000. It has several notches on it. One set is for laying double track. It's great and only cost like $1.25. Thanks for the replies. Dave
