The best thing I found is using hardboard or masonite (whatever you are using for your backdrop) and make your own jig spacer. Just cut small slots for the rail to set in. I made about 5 of them and work on longer stretches. My method, I am HO and use flextrack. I also use a 4' level and a jig to lay the track straight. I imagine that it will work with the Kato system.
