That's a nice looking plan, Robert. The only problem I see is there is not a loop for continuous running, which looks like it could be easily addressed by adding to the bottom end. That would leave a nice spot in the middle for mountains, a lake, etc. You may not run a loop much yourself but its fun when friends and family come over to visit. I do not think I would trust my nephews to run a point to point, especially the younger one who has two speeds, off and HIGHBALL! Its also nice to sit out on a nice evening, tasty beverage in hand, watching the trains run through the garden (something my wife enjoys, too).

it looks good for G scale, by adding a better loco termanal at one end you give it a little more potential for loco serveacing. adding more main line would make it better for 2+ trains this would also make it possible for adding another town to the main line. another good thing to add along the main line would be a heavy main line industry such as a mine or logging camp. there should also be a passing sideing for 2 train oppration.
i hope i was helpfull insted of anoying, please exsuse my spelling mistakes.
P.S. what page is this plan on?
I was looking through my copy of 101 track plans and this caught my eye. I am thinking about it for the garden. I think it's a good plan because there's plenty of room in the center for a garden and it is a simple plan.
