Road Crossing
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 1:35 PM
Any one have plans for a road crossing for Aristo brass Euro style track.  I want somethng wide enough, maybe 10-12 inches wide.  I've seen the split jaw walkon but can probably make it cheaper and more 'vintage' looking. Thx, GVtrainman1

That old cross tie method is still in use today, I use one everyday.it's been their for over 20years and I don't think it's ever been repaired.

The head is gray, hands don't work , back is weak, legs give out, eyes are gone, money go's and my wife still love's Me.

You could use windshield wipers and cut to length and pour motor mix for the new type, while using the wipers as the "black section" around the "concreete tie"

I use vinyl cement patch ( you can buy it at Lowes), pour some onto the track, level it with a piece of wood, and use a pair of wheels to clear the flangeways. It gives a realistic, custom look.
