manual control
Posted by bleggblogg on Thursday, May 31, 2007 10:56 AM

I decided to convert my railroad to battery power, using one battery car that can be attached to whichever engine I want to run. The controls (manual) will be in the battery car.

I managed to find a good DPDT Center Off switch (for direction control) and a fuse at Radio Shack, but I don't know where to look to find a voltage regulator (this is probably not the right term, but you get the idea). I'm using the Crest Lithium-ion batteries, which are rated at 21 volts and two amps, and I'm trying to find something that will at least bring the voltage down to 12 volts or so. Does anybody have any ideas?
