Jim,
According to the monthly email I get from Aristocraft. The Basic Train Engineer is scheduled to arrive in the state on June 15th. So it looks like what you've been told is good. I can't really state for a fact how and when Aristocraft does thier orders. To me it's just taken awhile for them to be able to get more in stock and that's what's showing up in June.

I can see where it sould be a good control system for something like that.
Please bear in mind that the BTE has a max output of 2.5 amps. That makes it unsuitable for many larger locos, or many locos with 2 or more motors.
Many people have used the Trackside Train Engineer, and cut away the case to make it fit in locos, they have a 10 amp capacity.

Understand Greg, and the BTE is more than sufficient for my indoor n scale layout where I plan on using it.
Whoops... missed the point that it was you about using it on N scale.... yeah, 2.5 amps will be fine of course...
This is probably a dumb question, but could I use this BTE with my Lionel and MTH O scale trains. I could use some kind of remote control, if I put it overhead. I use the TE with my G scale trains and understand it pretty well, but am not sure if it would work with O scale.
Thanks
Paul
