Super Service

Giving credit where credit is due is important. I do not have a LHS with big trains, maybe a few desultory items which due to the nature of the beast are very ex$.So, having satisfied myself that I was not going to do them a dis-service, I placed an order last Wednesday with Trainworld, a mail order house I use from time to time. Always OK by me. They were running a special short promo as it turned out, so I asked them if they had what I wanted in stock, I used the magic words to qualify for the promo, and they came back with a quote. I live half way around the world from NY.As this large train stuff weighs heavy, I resigned myself to a l-o-n-g wait to see the stuff and asked for the most economical freight deal..USPS Surface mail..about 3months transit time..but affordable. I placed my order and put the matter out of mind. It will come when it comes. Don't fret. (Much!) Imagine my surpise when a huge carton appears at my workplace just 6 days after placing the order ! They sent it DHL Air, the freight cost $5 more than quoted ($65) and I HAD IT !! The discount given as their Mothers Day promo (how appropriate for a train shop !!) more than offset the freight hike and they even sent an item they originally said was TOS. I'm so impressed with their service, someone in the backroom spots the job, looks at the freight with a bit of creativity, and uses a more expedient freight method at little extra cost to the customer. Total bill was just $400, but did I get a boxful of joy ! Thanks Trainworld.Bow [bow]
Geoff I wish I was better trained.

It is always nice to hear good/positive comments about stores/internet sales.

I also like to hear great stories about service!!! It is why WE go back and buy from them.

Another one is I like to hear the bad stories because they need to be told to and most people HAVE to keep it to them self and not just release the fumes. The fourms are here for us to use good and bad which it should be.
