Yup!  Got the new sound in the GP-38 and the SD-45, and they were running to test.  Even double headed them; really good sound!

Had something or the other running for about 5 hours today while doing rr things right there on the porch!

Ben, you gonna have to wait a couple of extra years before you can camp & fish there again!   Bridge got set back a couple of years, first time cause bids were too high, second time around they got into a real hassle cause low bidder (who supposedly would have used union labor) didn't score as high in the DOT forms as another; and lawsuits were threatened all over the place so all bids were thrown out again!

The rains went away and Slower Lower Delaware's local GRR club had a nice run day Sunday.   Of course, the mothers who attended got some flowers cause it was, after all, Mother's Day!    Some of those Mothers also ran their trains!    My wife got her new GP38-2 out in front of a couple of RS-3s for a triple header!

We had the obligatory wreck too!   No, it wasn't women drivers for that one, it was a couple of guys who were lazy and said one train wouldn't catch up to another for at least 1 or 2 more circuits of the layout!   HA!!!

A fun day!

Hey, that Pink bush catches the eye. Nice! The ACL purple loco looks right at home too.

My dandelions are starting to bloom; in another week or so they should be all open and I'll post something; they're spreading too

Ben, I'm still running track power, some onboard TE, some not!

I'm getting closer to trying battery, but I just have some trouble with a following car!

Hey Ben,

Those pics really stand out with the flowers. Colour like that adds so much! Thanks for sharing. By the way....finally got some trains running today. Tried out my new D&RG Lil' Critter. What a neat little loco...pulls like crazy and runs really smooth. Had a lot of fun in the sun today. Later eh...Brian.

I haven't been on this site in quite a while.  I had to re-register because I couldn't remember who I was.  Anyway, I cleared the rails today and my NW2 made it around the 140+ ft. without any help on the third pass.  My track has been on the ground for 7 years now, wow. Time sure flys.  I ran the locomotive alone for about 2 hours total.    I had to do some ballast adjustments.  A bit more tweeking of the track and I will be ready for some mixed freight next weekend.  I hope the weather co-operates.  I haven't done much with the garden railroad in the past two years.  Last year our spring in New England was very rainy and I didnt get to plant any flowers.  The year before that I worked a second job almost every weekend and that didnt help with keeping the garden railroad neat.  This year I will be devoting more time to the backyard and hope to have a great season.    Hope everyone has a great summer.
