Hi Brian.
The aristo ties come already attached in short stretches. I overlapped them. There's a concrete parking lot in the foreground and a large warehouse structure behind that. I wanted to keep the crusher fines from eroding off my newly laid track (with wood ties). Wanted a fast solution and had no idea what to do with the ties anyway so someone on another forum suggested this idea and took him up on it.
Although the pieces interlock, don't know how well this will hold up so may pound some stakes thru the cribbing to secure it better but it seems ok for now.
A rather spartan and esoteric post, Dave. I'm a pretty smart guy and even I had to look up "surfeit". Are their cross members to the cribbing? Is this design based on a prototype or your own design?
Ruminatively yours , Brian
had surfeit of aristo ties (cut wood ones)
