Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 4, 2003 10:56 AM

I would like to buy or build a Ridgeway "Bear Trap" for my C&S LGB Mogul. I have been
looking everywhere for the kit etc. I would appreciate any help from anyone.

Thanks a bunch

I have this information which I think I got some time ago from Barry Big Trains site. He explains how to install a bear-trap on a Bachmann 10-wheeler. I would think the process for a LGB Mogul would be very similar.

prog61:

I have the "Bear Trap" on MY C&S Mogul, but it is a live steamer, so the "Bear Trap actually contributes to the healthy "chuff" this baby makes under steam.

I did however put it together from an Aster kit, and the "Bear Trap" drawings for attachment are in good order right in the assembly manual..

I could scan these for you and send them. You'd have to scratch build from there, but if you are interested, let me know at vettbass@intergate.com

Regards, LDH

OK try this address. I called the number, it rang but I got no reply. Let us know if you have any success as I'm interested in getting one also.

Check out Barry's site for info and pictures. http://www.barrysbigtrains.com under the accesories link (I think)
