daiseys, an annual, have self-seeded from last year's crop and are spreading. They are the green plants in the background off to the left. Some have even taken root in the ballast. While I prefer "scale" plants, I just can't seem to get enough of these daisies; they are so cheerful when they open up in the late spring and early summer. They look terrible when they die off in mid summer so I removed them last year; but apparently, the seeds must have dropped before I did.
As for the hound, she seems to think this pulpwood is tootsie rolls. Every few minutes she removes one for chewing. I guess she enjoys logging operations
