where can one get spiked shoes?

this is for the lawn around the garden rr. They are special shoes with spikes that make holes in the lawn; i'm not sure why holes in the lawn are good, but other people use machines to do it so i'd like to follow the crowd. I'm not sure what the name of these shoes are but no one in HD or lowe's has ever heard of them. Supposedly, you can make holes all over the lawn when you wear them as you are mowing. Heavy people make deeper holes of course so if you're light, you may need to jump a bit as youre mowing.

any info on these shoes much appreciated

David try checking out  http://www.outsidepride.com Look under aerators category.

The only reson I posted this one is because it's the first one I found. also google lawn aerators and there is a few articles to be found that talk about what benefits if any are gained from thier use.

Dave,

At one time Harbor Freight had them for about $12.00 but I am not sure if they still have them.

Good Luck,

Ron

Hey David,

You can have mine. I have some from when I had a townhouse and only used them a few times. Send me an email. You can get them in person if you're up this way or pay for shipping.

Miles Kimball Catalog also has them, I think it was in the 8 or 9 buck range!
