Arthur,

Curmudgeon has lots of experience with Bachmann's products. Try sending him an email with your question(s);

Arthur,

You may want to try posting your question on the Bachmann forum - http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/board/index.php/board,6.0.html

George Scheyer does not have a tips page for the porter but has one for the 2-4-2 Columbia which may be helpful - http://www.girr.org/girr/tips/tips4/columbia_tips.html

Has anybody taken apart a Bachmann Porter?

I'm trying to disassemble an old side-tank Porter and I don't know where to start.

The engine has been flaky at best with power pickup lately and I want to clean everything electrical, to see if that helps, but first I have to get at the innards.

So. Does anybody have an assembly diagram, or first-hand experience?
