New bird houses at Michael's.

Size suitable for 1:22

UPC 7-07579-62063-8

The barn door frame is suitable for 1:22, the cut out doorway is too small. needs to be enlarged.

UPC 7-07579-60515-4

The saloon is somewhat suitable for 1:29(?)

UPC 7-07579-62078-2

The two story house is only suitable if set back into the distance. Rough estimate of scale would be around 1:35(?)

UPC 7-07579-60855-1

Shown with a few of the residents from Rosebud Falls.

$6.99 shelf price.  Use the 40% off coupon and after tax it was $4.71.  Currently the house is drying in its first coat of wood preservative.  The door and windows come with screen in place.  Will look into how to cover the "bird door" on the second floor.

I've got a rather large number of window shutters in the parts box, think that is what I'll use to cover the "bird door."  At least that is my plan, but we'll see what the boss has to say.

I  went to my local Michaels, could not find any of the birdhouses that you photographed. When I asked a clerk about them, she had the gall to tell me that I must be mistaken as to where they came from! GRRRRR!!!

SandyR;

Remember, these are their new ones for this year.  You say you asked a clerk.  If you asked a full time cashier, then you learned a lesson, they typically do not know anything beyond their cash register.  If you asked a floor clerk, sometimes they do not know the changes that are comming in their merchandise.  You should always ask a store manager or assistant manager, they should know what dates they are receiving the different goods.

Tom, my local Michaels doesn't carry either the first house that you posted a picture of, nor the barn. There are two other Michaels stores much farther away, but to call them, I need the product number of the birdhouses. It should be on a label on the underside of the base. Would it be possible for you to post that info for all of us? Thank you!

Sandy;

Sorry about the delay but been rather sick the last few days.  I'm sorry but I have thrown the UPC away already.  Next time I go to Michaels I'll copy down the UPC's and email direct to you.

Several folks have asked for the UPC's on these items in attempting to get them in their local Michaels stores.  I just edited my original posting to include the UPC's for each of the items with pictures.  Some other "suitable" (and I use that world very loosly) for the GRR are as follows:

Round bird house - just right to make a water tank - 7-07579-01440-6

Log Cabin (square timber) 7-07579-05101-2

Log Cabin (round logs) 7-07579-48826-9

Cottage  7-07579-21604-6

All of these have been talked about and pictured in other postings on this forum.

Sidetrack.

If you have a CVS near you, they offer a collection of bird houses that have thatched roofs.  Last year I picked up an antiques store and a surf shop.  This year, a garden shop and tiki bar (I believe).  don't have pics but you can find them in the center front of the store where they place seasonal stuff.
