Only seven inches?  Be glad your not in up-state NY!  Cold in middle TN right now but no snow on the ground, at least not where I live.  Anyway all I can do is gaze at my engine sitting on the mantel over the fireplace, and dream.............

Stay warm Ben -

That's why you have the indoor loop Ben. Big Smile [:D]

I've been looking at that white stuff on the ground since November. But I have found a little time of late to get back to working on models.

At least enjoy the winter wonderland snow scene-here in Southeast Virginia we just get cold, rain, and gray-Granted you don't have to shovel rain, but its bleak just the same.

Well we havew some good news here on the weather front, we have been in drought now for about 5 years and were talking about 2,000,000 square miles of it. We have been getting torrential moonsoonal type rain for about a week or so, 100 mm (4") during these last 2 days. Some areas are still in drought and some are flooded out, out national highway is cut in 2 places, up above the Tropic of Capricorn.

It is getting toward the end of summer here and it hasn't been under 20 dg C (even of a night time) for about 4 months, its too hot to even wear socks. As we have Christmas in the middle of summer few of us have ever experienced much under 30 deg C. Some people from states further south, go up into the mountains in July, to try to experience a cold or even white chistmas.

Got so cold today that the wife and I had to go jump into the Pacific Ocean to warm up!!!!!  We did get some rain over the weekend, about 5 inches.  But since we live in a desert, what do you expect?  Yes San Diego is a desert with ocean frontage!

I too had no trains today.  I'm "realigning" one section of track on the mainline.  Did get a new birdhouse primed to paint today.

Ben;

The weather man says we are going to be in the mid 70's this weekend.  If it hold, I should be able to mak a lot of progress installing my new bridge, to the top of Rosebud Falls.  The bridge will do a cross over of the mainline at ground level and that is the section I've been "realigning."  Hope it warms up soon in your part of the woods.

did you get your bridge put in place , in your railroad , I still can't work out side on my train line or run trains ,we are getting more snow and sleet today and tonight. as i write this it's snowing , when the weather breaks i have a lot to do out side , some reballasting  parts of the tracks , work on the pond ,check out the tracks so they are not lose and come apart , i'll put some new ARISTO CRAFT clamps in to replace the old type aristo clamps. they are easer to use around turn outs, I also use some split jaw clamps.  come on warmer weather .  BEN
