It might have been a bit of fun but i bet it was hard work; a labour of love of course but still hard.

I didn't know there was one, i don't have much to do with our local LGB dealer, so i have no advice on it at all.

I know a bit about this subject but i have much to learn; on a scale of 1 to 10 i would put myself at about 2 to 3.

I have been waiting a long time for the new MTS handbook.  I hope it is issued soon!

Ian,

One of the gentlemen who runs the seminar (Calvin Lane) has been rewriting LGB's MTS handbook. It should be rereleased soon.

I would suggest checking out previous versions of the handbook that should be available at LGB retailers or check the downloads section of the LGB website. Bob Brashear also frequents this forum so I would suggest posting your questions.

Jack;

I would have loved to be at that seminar but 10,000 km is a long way to go for such a thing.

What LGB or other books can i get to make me better informed on MTS. I am doing a lot of automation work and would like to be better informed on this fascinationg subject!

Hi everybody,

Here is a pic and a wrap up of the MTS seminar haeld at Watt's trains in Indy over the weekend by Bob Brashear and Calvin Lane:

The room was fueled with enthusiastic MTS fans.  With the outside temperature at 12 degrees and a snow covered parking lot MTS Seminars heated things up at Watts Trains, Zionsville, IN. Hosted by the Watts family owned Train Shop and tree nursery they provided an outstanding setting for an MTS Seminar.  The Watts family is customer oriented and provides added value to each product they sell with technical support, and customer care. The students were surrounded on fours sides with LGB trains from floor to the very high ceiling. What a location!

Instructed by LGB partners Bob Brashear and Calvin Lane all aspects of MTS automated train control were covered.  As has been with all previous seminars the students stated they were over whelmed with the capabilities of the integrated manual and automated control possibilities of the MTS system. MTS SEMINARS provides hands on instruction using a fully automated computer controlled layout running inches from their seat.  Students are introduced to all MTS components, and shown their use, and how to install each component.  The only restriction is their imagination.

Jack
