Gentlemen and Lady
Please find below 3 photographs of our area 1 which is under redevelopment. Past subjects that would be applicable to these photos are 1. Golden Palm - 2. Measuring gradients on a curve and 3. Glopatta.
Thanks Kim and everyone for your help (from Doreen as I am the one who got it to work).
Nice pictures Ian. Reminds me of south Florida. Wish I was there right now. Cold, wet, and miserable here right now.
Best Regards,
That bottom photo is to do with reworking my area 1 and those ramps are made of 2nd hand bricks and covered with glopatta. The idea to do it this way all come from suggestion obtained from this forum.
The finish is supposed to be rough and to resemble rough local sandstone; the actual colour is much less yellow than shown in the photo and it gets less and less yellow as it cures. This to me seems an ideal way to make a slightly elevated railway as is this one.
The front ramp has an R2 curve and even 2 % grade all the way and the back one has 2 curves about halfway beween R1 and @ 2 and an even 1.5 % grade all the way.
The trees shown are Queensland golden palms and is the one i was going to go behind, through or as i eventually did in front. This one is only 4 years old and is 4 m tall.
Rgds ian
