I spoke with Joe at FDT and he tells me that as orders roll in, he expects BLI will deliver. Those new pix will surely garner some orders! I preordered mine through FDT b/c he takes the preorder with no money down through his website. Enjoy!

Some additional information about it appears in Model Railroader magazine, March 2007 issue:
Broadway Limited Imports has announced a 1:29-proportion Southern Pacific class AC-12 Cab-Forward steam locomotive scheduled for release in the winter of 2007.
(The SP Cab Forward) Priced at $4,995, is designed for use on No. 1 gauge track and will feature a Pittman DC gearhead motor; high-fidelity sound system; underbody detail on locomotive and tender; and steel rods, valve gear, and drive wheels. The manufacturer's suggested minimum radius for the model is eight feet.
BEAUTIFUL! But alas for me, its like a broken pencil, pointless...
Too big, too expensive, too everything for my little layout, Oh Well.
Have fun with your trains
This sort of thing is terrific but would not fit in with my scheme of things and in nay case i doubt if the would be very cost effective.
