Hartland Mack battery.

Does anyone know how much voltage a Hartland Mack requires?  I wish to run it with an Aristo 75 TrainEngineer Transmitter and receiver.  Thanks. b

Couldn't find that for you, but the 4-4-0 is a 12 volt motor, I doubt if they went larger for a smaller loco. Should be ok to use the Aristo controller as they are rated for twice that voltage.

I run a Hartland Woody, which is probably the same drive train on a 12 volt, 1500 mah battery pack. Speed is fine, and it runs for 5 hrs, 10 min.

I'll be doing a simple battery on/off set up in a mack for my 2 yr old son....Del created the lettering for it....can't wait to show this one off....anyways...I will be using NiMH AA batteries....8 or 9 of those wired in...I tested one of my Macks and 9.5vdc+/- is a good running speed for me.
