Modified LGB 50' boxcars (pictures)
Posted by DTI356 on Thursday, January 4, 2007 8:50 PM

Here's my latest projects. Both boxcars started as LGB Railbox style cars that were altered to match D T & I prototypes. I've lowered each cars and added Kadee 820 couplers.

On this one I made new doors and the panel for the compass herald - the decal of the herald I had Stan Cedarleaf make for me (thanks Stan - nice work)

This one has more extensive modifications. I scratchbuilt the doors, and all thier hardware including the guide rails. Also made the plates and door stop brackets.

Here's all 5 cars I've done so far

I'm really having fun in 'G' scale and can't wait to get some rails put up outside.Cool [8D]

Enjoy,
Brian B.
