MAJOR problem with Aristo craft.
I had a problem with a leaking boiler on my 1 week old live steam engine. It cost me $50.00 to return it for repair.
1 day old heavy weigth passenger car immediately smoked. $15.00 to get a replacement.
I had a problem with 2 MTH's engines. MTH had a prepaid shipping label, after their technicion called me, in a couple of days.
I remember the SD9 being 'in development" since the first I got into this crazy hobby 5 years ago
Whatever happened to the 2-8-0 they were developing? Seams like Aristo is good for one new item per year, the Mallet last year, the E unit this year, and next year????? The dice are rolling...
Have fun with your trains
AS much as I like Aristocraft products, their product development times seem like an eternity. WHen they announce something new I gauge my interest based on whether it will come out before I retire. (7-9 years) While I can still afford it.
The Aristo Report can lead the wrong direction.
I like to keep track of what they are "currently " working on.
Is it REAL? or Just 1:29 scale?
Long live Outdoor Model Railroading.
Lionel collector, stuck in an N scaler's modelling space.
If you have older issues of GR, say, 4, 5 and maybe 6 years back.....
Check out the ads and see how long some of this has been "in development" or "coming soon".
When they aren't anymore, they just quietly fall off the end of the list.....
The interesting part is the GG1 is still listed.
This is something I have been wanting to do for the other Aristo fans on the forum, so expect more if this gets a good response.
