You made the Biblical reference to Advent, but I don't see any signs of Jesus or a nativity.

The Nativity is sitting on the top of the piano, which is to the left, outside of the picture, with a quiet dignity.  There is an Angel on top of the tree, and although it may not be discernable in the picture, there are Christian symbols among the ornaments on the tree.  Advent, not Biblically defined, is recognized by many churches [including mine] during the four Sundays prior to Christmas -- as a time to redirect our thoughts and hearts to the true meaning of Christmas.  Accordingly, the first Sunday of Advent is when my family decorates our home for the up-coming Birthday Party.

To all of you that are sharing photos and commentary about your decorations and traditions, I thank you.  I enjoy seeing what others are doing.  The purpose of this thread is not to start a debate, but to give Forum Members an opportunity to share their trains related decorations to their celebrations.   There may be members of several faiths which celebrate their events during this same time, that would also like to share their trains related decorations to their celebrations.

Merry Christmas and happy Holidays to all.

My calendar has Christmas on December 25th, I decorate on December 24th.   Yes I said CHRISTmas, it is a CHRISTian holiday and I'm not afraid to remind everybody of that.  If you don't celebrate CHRISTmas, then you may come over to my house on December 25th and celebrate my holiday with me, and I will be more than happy to reciprocate and share with you your holiday at the apropriate time.  But don't tell me I can't celebrate CHRISTmas because you don't.

CHRISTmas

CHRISTmas

CHRISTmas

CHRISTmas

There, let's see if that gets me thrown off the forum.

It is enough that Jesus died and that he died for me.

Hi there,

Wish I could post some pics....still working on that here. I like to decorate my indoor line with miniature wreaths on the light poles. My locos get a bit of decorating too. Can't do the layout under the tree. We have a new pup in the house...chew chew chew. That's OK, by next season all should be under control. Merry Christmas to all...and thanks for sharing the pics! Later eh...Brian.

Today we put up the Christmas decorations, tree, and Christmas train.  I invite you to share pictures of your Holiday and Christmas layouts/decorations.
Outside Decorations:

The tree layout.

The grandkids absolutely love running the animated train and sounds.  Since we don't put out any presents [except the tunnel] before Christmas Eve, the train and village put some interest into the room.
