Last night MythBusters (Episode 66 on the Discovery channel) had a segment about "find out just how dangerous it is to stand too close to the edge of a train platform." Where they used "G" scale model trains to determine if it is possible to get sucked off a train platform as one goes by. I will not give the results away or how they used the trains, packaged in the familiar yellow boxes and red white and blue box, because the episode should be on several more times before next Wednesday (11-15-2006).

For the folks like me that don't have the Discovery channel, please elaborate on the trains used, steam or diesel, etc. and brand, and the project. I have stood very close to the tracks when 4 Dash-9s roar by with a huge container load in tow. have not got sucked under yet. I guess they weren't going fast enuff?
