One of our group has one and a PB as well, they certainly look right and have very fine detail. Pulls 9 USA trains coaches no problem although they draw approx 2 amps each so make sure your controller has enough Amps. I'd recommend them on what I've seen.

Oh, definatley. They are nice, but they sure do love that electricity.

A friend has an ABA and pulls 10 USA stream-liners. One A unit does not run the same speed as the others, so it drags a little. They routinely pull 7 Amps from his power pack.  Also they have a lot of gear noise, even though he has Phoenix sound in all three.

I'd go with the 15 AMP, because if you decide to get some passenger cars later, those will take some juice as well. If you get just the loco, 8 will do, but if you get passenger cars as well, don't put it on anything under 10. Also, the cars don't like S Curves.

4ft radius (8ft diameter) curves minimum required. Just for info the USA coaches draw 1/2 amp each with the lights on.

I was thinking about doing that too, except with Lehigh Valley PA's. I love the colors, and they were used on freights after the LV's passenger service was wiped out. So it would be realistic.

I have a PA PB set and it is pretty good. There are a couple of downfalls: the power/motor/smoe/light switches are located on the botom of the engine in a nearly impossible to get to. They are somwhat noisy, but when running outside you dont notice it. I run my set with 7 aristo streamliners and it pulls just under 4 amps all together. Also, I would recomend a 10' diameter at a bare minimum. My smallest turn is a 11.5' diameter and it almost seems a little too sharp. It is a superbly detailed model with extroardinary pulling power. Check out San-val.com he has some awesome deals on them right now. I got my PA/PB set for on $275!!! That is quite a steall for all that pulling power.
