I've heard of sandwiching pond liner between 2 layers of concrete as well.

There should be a "sticky" thread on how to post photos as this is a common question. Don't know why there isn't.

Simply make your photo into a jpg using photoshop or else a freeware version like Serifphoto plus (save as photo export optimizer). After it is a jpg, you will need a hosting service. Free ones like shutterfly allow you to load hundreds of free photos. Try to keep the resolution to 72 dpi to decrease storage space.

Then right click the photo and look at "properties" copy and paste that number to this window with

[img.] immediately before it without spaces and [/img.] after that alphanumerical file number. Don't place periods in brackets like I did. I did so that it would show up in type. Otherwise, it looks like this:

for my first stream i used just concrete. that leaked all over the place so i used pond liner with concrete over it (so i could shape it better). it works better now.

P.S. how do you post pictures?

Hi Matt,

Yes, it's concrete and this section of the stream is watertight with no problems at all. I mixed some latex into the concrete for coloring. The colors don't leach out either. I've got a bit of work to do downstream, however, with hydraulic water sealer (plastic cement). It's great to be able to walk in the stream without fearing torn fabric.

I had all my photos selected, but as usual, I put it to the back of my mind, and forgot about sending my entry in.

Traintrax,

We can still post those photos. Here's my 3 that didn't quite make honorable mention (O gauge, all handlayed track; trains powered by motorboat r/c):

Yes, they were notified a few weeks ago. If you didn't win, don't despair! We save the entries and will use a number of them for other purposes (end of the line, reader photo gallery, etc.) If we choose one, we will send you a contract for payment.

Hello,

Yes, the winners have been chosen and notified. We do not announce the winners ahead of time, but they will appear in the December issue.
