Hi train 284

It was a set consisting of 0-6-0 & tender, caboose track (that's no good other than shelf storage track) the accessories that came with it all still in its box actual cost $35 US the rest is the postage cost to Australia.

An indication of other Lionel battery locos would be helpful as well as fair price for them.

Any suggestions on a couple of freight or passenger cars to look for would also be helpful along with suggested fair price

From Vic's comment some flashing lead might be a good next purchase to get some weight added if it can be??.

Johns also in Oz so the pricing market is different than is the US

I have that same 4-4-2 but I need to find another for parts and mine is missing driverods on one side.

As is I dont think its anywhere near strong enough to pull a cleaner car. I think it will just spin its wheels. I tried it also with the heavier Scientific loco and no go again.

$63! Wow. I only spent $25 on mine. That was 3 or 4 years ago and it included 2 freight cars and some track. Thats a lot to spend on such a cheap loco. But maybe the postage is what drove the price up I don't know. Is it a 4-4-2 Atlantic?

Hi guys

Having just won on Ebay via a friend a Lionel Battery G scale train 

It was bought with the view to using it as a track cleaning train Loco  @ $63.10 US including postage to Aus I don't expect much from it.

Is it up to that Job and could it have other uses like when I cannot be bothered to hook up the power.
