I use a battery powered DCC system for all of my G-scale locomotives except for the live steam ones.  CVP Products' AirWire 900 is a wireless DCC system specifically for G-scale battery-powered trains.  Check their web site for more information.  http://www.cvpusa.com

I couldn't see any reason why discussion of DCC here would not be permitted.
Such discussions should be welcome.

BTW. To the best of my knowledge the CVP Airwire system has not been issued with NMRA DCC compliance certificates and therefore cannot be advertised as being DCC compatible.
This is now reflected in CVP magazine advertising of the Airwire where there is no mention of DCC compatibility.
