my latest effort - just finished with an aristocraft power truck - a bit too powerful really . rest is completely scratchbuilt from plasticard grained with a saw blade , cd cases for windows and a wedding cake bell on the front . was only going to be grey as primer but it looked nice so just lettered it up and left it.

Looks great, much better than what I'm creating and if is that powerfull why don't you use it as loco and pull a small flat to carry mail, baggage, little grandmas getting grocheries?

As my wife has just pointed out I have  loads of unfinished projects and wouldnt it be a good idea to finish the armoured train , rake of 3 hopper cars , signal tower, repaint of baggage car  etc etc ...

Hope you model goes well sg - would like to see the end result.

The model is a 2-4-4-2 locomotive and it is so dificult to do anything with the loco without drivers. I might just go cayotic and use some old HO drivers off a pair of european 4-6-2's. It'le work right? Maby despiration is setteling in......

.....armored train?

yes armoured - based on a polish one from the 30s

built two railway guns and fancied something different

Ideal solution to your problem would be some aristocraft motor blocks as used in Rogers loco - not cheap tho

Those look good, just supply train behind each one and the trenches between them.Evil [}:)]. That would work save for two reasons: one i'm building a budget loco, and the other is that its a logger and need's dimunitive drivers for traction. I need some about one inch diameter insted of 1 3/4 inch. aha, I just thought of a way to save that tender, thanks for the springboard!       Bow [bow]

Tried to save the tender but failed. My idea was to cober it in Metal but it wouldn't sit right so I broke out the hammer. demolishing the car but got the metal to the right shape.
