Kevin has given good advice. My experience is that Kadees often allow engines and cars that ordinarily would barely go around 5ft.Dia. curves to cautiously negotiate a 4ft. [R1] turnout onto a siding. Since I have a mix of LGB, Aristo, USA, Bachmann, MTH, Ro, Delton, and Kalamazoo locos and cars, I have converted all but a few [Aristo] couplers to Kadee. The Aristo and Kadee couplers will mate to pull [but not automatically uncouple] together. If the Aristo coupler is in the closed position, the Kadee will couple with it [without the big hand from the sky].

My first thought would be to look at Bachmann's or USA Trains' couplers. Both companies also offer the gawd-awful hook-and-loop couplers that Hartland uses, so there's a good chance that their knuckle couplers will be a close fit.

You may also want to check out Kadee's line of couplers. They make a wide variety of mounts for both their "G" scale and "#1" scale couplers, so there's bound to be one that works for Hartland's stuff. May be worth an e-mail to them to see which one they recommend. www.kadee.com

Anyone know what knuckle couplers are compatable with H-L-W products. I tried Aristo but it requires some modification. Thanks in advance.[8]
