Whenb i was in England i saw a very impressive green French Mikado. But to me with my layout they are just too big.

The LGB Mikado is my favorite engine. It will pull 20+ cars up and around my 4.5% grade which is intersperced with 5 and 6.5 ft. diameter curve pieces. The sound is robust and fairly accurate. I have converted mine for use with battery/RC contained in the tender. By using a DPDT switch, it remains track power or MTS capable. In addition to the above mentioned curves and grades, the Mikado easily handles R1 turnouts [both LGB & Aristo] onto sidings.

Hey guys,
I have money to burn and I have narrowed down my next purchase to either an ABA F7 set or an LGB Mikado. Is the Mikado worth the $800? Also, I have a set of 5 aristo streamliners, do you think the mikado could handle that on 10' diameter curves?
Thanks,
David
