Are we all still thinking about this contest?

August 10th, hmm...still plenty of time to build something unique. I think I have just the thing, though I wonder if an American theme will get more votes.

Rene, have there been many non-US winners before? I suppose it doesn't matter, always ready to introduce the Japanese narrow gauge lines to a wider audience.

As coordinator of the photo contest, I can tell you that you will NOT receive ANY junk mail because you entered. All entries come right to me. I log each one into a database and give it a code number (so the judges don't know the entrant). I keep these databases ONLY for correspondence of these photos. If you don't win the contest, we'll usually keep them on hand to possibly use for other things (end of the line, etc.) I do NOT share the information with anyone else.

I have 3 great (in my opinion) shots from an open house that a member from my Garden RR club had. There are a lot more, but I narrowed it down to those 3.

Thats a good point Rene, Last year I entered my first city wide contest and placed in all three photos, i was shocked.
I mainly wanted folks so see what outdoor modelrailroading was all about.

Marty is right. Give it a try. If you don't win the contest, there are other places to get your photo published (End of the line, web site, etc) that we use from photo contest submissions.

And also, it's not only the judges that can't enter, it's anyone from Kalmbach. [:D][:D]
