 thanks for the comment on my garden rail road , I been working on some building 7 new ones and repaired and repainted  5 older ones , and cleaned the wheels  and greased  the axels of 13 cars and 2 engines , still have 22 cars and 8 engines to do, and a few old building to repair and paint yet , getting ready for spring .  BEN

Great looking layout Ben.  Your way out of my league with this RR'ing thing.  Love the fish too.

The area where I am going to build my RR once was a fish pond.  Before that it was the site of an above ground pool.  Took the pool down, it left a depression in the ground, so dug it out and laid in a large kidney shaped fish pond.  No Koi, just Comets.  That lasted several years until I got tired of cleaning it out every spring.  Now the pond is gone as well.  Next thing for that space will be the SRS ROAD !!!! Could I have an AMEN...................

Great looking layout Ben.

You have definately given me some positive feeling for my above ground layout. Those bridges are great, and the trestle looks great to. I'll be looking to find those items for my layout. After looking at your pictures, I prolly should have put in a few more curves. I like the looks of the trains going around them. I listened to much to those who said use biggest curves possible, and eliminate S curves.

We have a Koi Pond, but the way our place is layed out, wouldn't be easy to run the trains around, or over it. Some are close to that 29" you mentioned.

Anyway, your layout looks good. Thanks for the ideas on making a raised roadbed look good.

for the comments of my RAILROAD, yes MATT THEIR IS A screen along the bridge, it's the same screen you use for plastering a wall, i just added the arch on top of the bridge two weeks ago. and the fish are big, from 12ins. to 29ins. their are about 22 of them. BEN[:)][:)]

Well done mate, do you live in the middle of nowhere? You must have had the fish for years, they look pretty good. If the Chinese could get near them, they would eat them!

What a difference spring makes compared to the blustery winter day when I was last up to your place and trains were in danger of blowing away!

I've purchased a band saw and eventually want to cut some angle iron to copy some of your really really cool bridgework.

Hopefully I can make it up sometime in near future to see your layout again.
